Machel Montano Bottle Of Rum Official Video was launched recently. Bottle Of Rum is on the 3Zero riddim by the Precision Productions team who have been responsible in one way or the other for many of the Soca hits coming out of the Caribbean. Many may know them from the Antilles Riddim. 3Zero is actually a rum where Machel Montano is a stake holder. The name of the rum is based on Machel Montano’s celebration of his 30th year in the calypso business.

Supa Soca 17 Mix CD has been released. DJ Crown Prince and Barrie Hype, yes the same people responsible for unleashing the “Antilles Riddim” that featured Machel Monatano Vibes Cyan Done, Erphan Alves In Your Eyes, Nadia Batson and Shiver and yes Mr. Kerwin Dubois with Bacchanalist last fall have partnered up with Jester and Dr. Jay to release Supa Soca 17. If you are familiar with the Supa Soca mix series, and you should as we have featured a few on our site before, then you know this mix doesn’t disappoint. Good show fellas.

DJ Choice One MD has assembled a cast of DJ’s sure to set off Carnival in Atlanta proper with the event called Deuces Wild Carnival Edition. The event is being held at Club Pices in Stone Mountain Georgia and features DJ Poppy Pops, DJ Majestic, DJ Golden Goose, One Drop Sounds, DJ Karl, Big Kat Sounds and DJ Choice One himself. There will be even a fashion segment showcasing some of our pieces.

Tarrus Riley Front Door Official Video is the latest release off of the We Remember Gregory Isaacs. The album which was put together by saxophonist and producer Dean Fraser showcases an all-star cast of singers and musicians paying homage to a Reggae icon. The album boasts 16 Gregory Isaacs most loved songs being interpreted by the likes of Tarrus Riley, Duane Stephenson, Gyptian, Alaine and others. The collection of hits and lesser known Isaacs’ recordings includes a bonus disc of instrumental versions performed by producer and saxophonist Dean Fraser.
Bubbler Sound 2012 Soca Mix is nice. Most of the songs you would have heard already if you downloaded any of our previous Friday featured mixes. This however, keeps the energy going. Blends are nice and this mix actually has Fayann Lyon’s Miss Behave, a track not present on any that we have posted before. We also heard some from the Vincy representer himself Skinny Fabulous as well. Hopefully by now, you would have come to trust our weekly recommendations. The 9 Mile Music Festival began as a labor of love, Pioneered by, Cedella Marley Booker. Over the years the festival has had other names including “The Caribbean Music Festival” finally evolving into what is known as the 9 Mile Music Festival today. This reggae music event is more than just your average “concert”, it has a commitment to doing good and spreading love. The 9 Mile Music Festival is responsible for collecting over two (2) million canned goods over its 18 year span, in an effort to continuously give back to its community. Four canned goods are required for entry, along with a purchased admission; the canned goods collected are then distributed to shelters in Miami & Jamaica.
The artist line up includes Stephen Marley, Damian Marley, Julian Marley, Ritchie Spice, Burning Spear, Capleton, Cocoa Tea, Tarrus Riley, Collie Budz, Wale, Kevins, and Kehv.
